"Obama the new Bush?"
McCain Working On Tan, Cindy's Liquor Distribution Company Stocking More Malt Liquor
The Repukelickins are now officially running against themselves. A McCain aide recently stated that "We don't need ANOTHER President who can't admit when he's wrong." Of course, McCain still supports everything Dubya has ever done, including draft-dodging, desertion in time of war, snorting cocaine, driving drunk and slaughtering hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women and children for absolutely no reason.
What Obama has refused to admit, according to the McCain aide, is that Bush was right. Get it? Now that they are running a millionaire "c*nt" beer-distributer's house-husband for President, it makes sense for the Repukes to use pretzel logic. Next: The Pickled Egg Strategem.
By November, McCain will be so twisted up, he won't be able to fart without blowing his nose. Dubya will probly be wearing full minstrel make-up, riding his horse backwards, and commanding the troops to "Backward, HARCH!" I guess we might as well elect Obama. He's doing a much better impersonation of a Democrat. So far.

"Mullen Favors More Iraq Troop Cuts -- For Now"
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff decides to vote Democrat, with his feet.
' Adm. Mike Mullen, the nation's top military officer, says that, for now, he would likely recommend withdrawing more U.S. troops from Iraq this fall if improved security trends continue over the summer. An additional pressure for potential troop cuts in Iraq involves the shifting of troops to deal with the escalating violence in Afghanistan. Military commanders there have pressed the Pentagon for an additional 10,000 troops. Mullen has said that the only way that will happen is if additional troops are drawn down from Iraq, freeing up replacement units to divert to Afghanistan, instead. Either way, Mullen indicated that any extra troops wouldn't be able to arrive until next year. '
' US Defense Secretary Robert Gates said he wants to send more troops to Afghanistan "sooner rather than later," signaling a shift in priorities from Iraq amid warnings of an accelerating Taliban threat. Gates and Admiral Michael Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, also said Pakistan needed to do more to stop the unimpeded flow of Taliban and other fighters into Afghanistan from safe havens in Pakistan. "There is a real need to do something on the Pakistani side of the border to bring pressure to bear on the Taliban and some of these other violent groups," Gates said. '
' President Bush is sending a top US diplomat to meet Iran’s nuclear negotiator this weekend, a major break with his hardline stance towards Tehran and the closest contact between the countries since the 1979 Iranian Revolution. In a significant departure from Mr Bush’s long-standing refusal to talk to Tehran until it has abandoned its nuclear enrichment programme, William Burns, the Under-Secretary of State and America’s third most senior diplomat, will travel to Switzerland to attend talks between Iranian and European officials on Saturday. The reaction of Washington’s hardliners demonstrated what a significant break with past policy Mr Burns’s attendance represents. “This is a complete U-turn and very disappointing to say the least,” John Bolton, a neoconservative and Mr Bush’s former Ambassador to the UN, told The Times. '
' One reason -- one reason that charter schools are so successful and so sought after by parents is that principals have spending discretion. And I intend to give that same discretion to public school principals. No longer will money be spent in service to rigid and often meaningless formulas. Relying on the good judgment and firsthand knowledge of school principals, education money will be spent in service to public school students. We can also help more children and young adults to study outside of school by expanding support for virtual learning. So I've proposed to direct $500 million in current federal funds to build new virtual schools and to support the development of online courses for students. '

Oh hey, you caught that. I posted that brief response late last night and deleted it because I wanted to add some thoughts to it when I had more time.
But yeah, thanks, for the laugh :)

My hat's off to you, cosanostradamus (at least it would be if I wore one). I like your energy and the push-and-pull you bring to the blog.
Our lust for money and comfort have come home to bite us in the ass. The evildoers and their minions are befuddled, and the bewildered herd is growing restless.
We live in interesting times.
Welcome aboard. I look forward to hearing more from you.
