I have a few thoughts to share about Hillary's concession speech on C-Span this morning. It was a good speech, uncharacteristically gracious. I was particularly encouraged by the applause from her supporters when she spoke of uniting behind Obama. I must say it would be hard if not impossible for me to switch to Hillary if the shoe was on the other foot.
All's well that ends well.
Contrary to what the Clintonites and Repubs have been trying to get everyone to believe, I think beating McCain will be far easier for Obama than beating Hillary. Hillary helped vet Obama for the general. My impression of McCain, speaking to an audience of about 200 the other day, was that he looked awkward, stilted, and old. He doesn't have a chance.
Obama is going to win in a landslide.
